We love our songs while we are learning.

Croftcroighn Swim Club follows the principles of the Halliwick Concept.  This is an approach to teach people to participate in water activities, to move independently in water and to swim’. This is achieved through the Ten Point Programme. As well as being a very successful way of teaching swimming to anybody it also can be used in therapy.

O. is very happy in the water with Maggie.

The concept comprises of a Ten-Point Programme, beginning with the building confidence in the water, moving through a variety of controlled rotations to basic swimming movements.

A. is building his confidence in the water.

There is also a focus on water safety both in and out of the pool. This includes teaching floating in water, knowing how to hold on to the pool edge and being able to stand up as these are essential safety skills for life.

O. is enjoying playing with the water.

Halliwick also has certificates and proficiency badges that provide recognition of achievement!

 I. has learned to use her balance to allow her to float independently.
