Finally we had a windy day!

P1b have been learning about the seasons and the weather. We watched a video of a windy day that had kites in it and decided that we would make our own kites. We have been waiting a long time for a windy day and today we got to go outside and fly our kites. We loved it!

Let’s Go Fly a Kite

Primary 1a have been learning about different types of weather in their Social Studies topic. We designed our very own kites and waited on a windy day before we could fly them. Our kites blew very fast in the wind!

Super Swimmers

We went swimming at Maryhill pool. We met our teacher called Miss McGreish. Group 1 got fabulous certificates and had an amazing time. Group 2 have just started swimming and learnt all the safety rules. We can’t wait to go back!

Frog Life

Today, in partnership with Frog Life,  Primary 6 visited Springburn Park in search of woodland animals, creatures, habitats and materials. Pupils used clay and items and materials found in the park to create their very own artistic impressions of anmilas and creatures which they have learnt about.

Science and Engineering Day

We used air to power all the different inventions we built – a hover craft, balloon rockets, rocket/butterfly/tiger launchers and straw airplanes!! We raced them to see which went the furthest. Happy holidays from p5 & Mrs Stuart.

Bag Girl – Eco Drama

We went to see how to recycle our rubbish. Bag girl showed us how to reduce, reuse and recycle using our special ‘Zip, Zap and Boing’ powers. We had a competition to see who could sort the most rubbish in 4 minutes and defeated the rubbish monster! We all had great fun.
