Remembrance Day Celebrations!

Our choir were recently invited to join Rhona at Broomfield Court Care Home for their annual Remembrance Day service. Many of the residents served in or lived through the war and it was fantastic to hear their memories and to share in their special moment as we sang ‘Que Sera Sera’ and ‘The Black Hills of Dakota’.

P4 meet Duncan from the RSNO

This week we had a visitor to our class. His name was Duncan. He plays the clarinet in the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. He taught us about the vibrations that instruments make. Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day in the United Kingdom honors the heroic efforts, achievements and sacrifices that were made in past wars. The main observance is on the second Sunday in November, but 2 minutes of silence is also made on November 11. Today in school at 11am we will be observing a 2 minute silence.

Dia de los Muertos en P4

Here’s what we learned this week….. Dia de los Muertos is a Mexican festival starting on Halloween. It means day of the Dead!!!! We made masks to celebrate it. Mexicans dress up too.
