This week went by so quickly, a real indication of how busy we’ve been in P6.  One of the highlights was definitely being able to see our school ducks up close and personal as they swam and had fun in their indoor pool!

Sadly the ducklings have departed St Albert’s and left for pastures new.  However, they’re not going far.  Mr Corrigan and Mrs Pattie have promised to take good care of them!

As part of our HWB, digital learning and social studies, we’ve been finding out about countries that will be taking part in the upcoming Euro Championships.  Duncan has kindly organised a small football competition that will take place just before Scotland start their campaign to win the Euro Championships!  We’ve already found out loads of information about Ukraine, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Hungary.

We’ve also started our research into organising a school wide Lego competition that will be starting soon.  As you’ll see from the photos and films there’s a real buzz of excitement every time we get the chance to use Lego.

Term 4

It feels great to back in school with a full class.  Thanks to all the pupils and families who have been really supportive and just generally amazing during the recent COVID restrictions.

The have settled back really well after Easter.  Term 4 will fly-by so it’s important we enjoy every minute.  With that in mind, we’ve been trying to do more problem solving group work.  As you will see from the attached photos the class had loads of fun finding creative ways to explore discussion writing.  The different activities included poster design, introduction writing and using Lego to design a theme park ride.
