Merry Monday!

Good Morning Primary 4/5!

I hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend. How are we all? Rested and ready to think I hope!

Hope is our theme for this week Primary 4/5!

As always, sending lots of love,

Miss B

*******************************************************************

When we are in difficult times, it’s easy to lose hope and think that good things can’t happen – but this is not true.

My message to you this week

Goodness is a very powerful thing Primary 4/5. Good things can  happen all the time – even in really difficult times.

We just have to be brave enough to look for them, look close enough to see  them, hope hard enough to believe in them & smile to create them.

*******************************************************************

Here are some examples of good things that are happening during this very difficult & uncertain time. Made me smile!

*******************************************************************

Activity 1

What do you think hope looks like? Can you capture in a drawing or picture?

For me:

Hope looks like the rays of sunshine that peep through a canopy of leaves.

Activity 2

There will be lots of good things happening in your community! Why don’t you do some research and discover what they are .

It’s Finally Friday

🌟Good afternoon Primary 4/5 🌟

One of the key things that helped me get through this week are the lovely messages and pictures I receive from you!

Check out the pictures (below) to see what Primary  4/5 have been getting up to in Lockdown.

🎈Birthday celebrations ‘Lockdown Style!’🎈
Fatima Javed
has been busy celebrating her birthday with brothers and sisters! 🎂🍰 Looks like lots of fun – I might just need your help planning birthdays in the future!

Laiba has been working through her Learning Packs! Popcorn Push-Ups – a brilliant, commendable effort Laiba.  Well done!👏👏👏

Oh wait – here’s  Laiba again! She’s started to put together her Strength Chain  – thinking about what she’s really good at & creating a chain to celebrate this !

Subhan’s been thinking about Mental Health and the importance of having  a mental detox! 💪💪💪

I love this idea of a mental detox Subhan! I will definitely be using some these ideas over the weekend  🌟 ‘Optimistic for the future!’ I LOVE IT🌟

Our lovely Hashim has been putting his artistic skills to great use ! His profound attention to detail in his Zentangle Drawing (from the Blog) is admirable!

**************************************************************************************

I have been in touch with all  of your families this week and it has been an absolute pleasure.

It has been so refreshing to see many of you  & to hear about everything you’re getting  up to –  showing your support for Scotland’s key workers 💙, supporting and loving your families 📲👪, celebrating Ramadan 🌙, watching TV 📺,  interacting with the Blog 🏫💻🖥️ & playing!

Please know that you all are doing extremely well and I am ever so proud  of you . ❤️

It’s finally Friday and  what an extraordinarily long week it has been!

Sending lots of love & take care,

*Final Thoughts* before a “Finally Friday” Post

Good morning my lovelies!

I hope that you are  well and have had a good week! Before posting my normal ‘Finally Friday’ post, I wanted to share this one about Mental Health & self care during lockdown.

St Albert’s Primary School has been focusing on the theme of Health & Wellbeing  this week. Staying at home can become difficult when each day merges seamlessly into the next & doesn’t feel purposeful. This feeling is not good for our mental health.

**************************************************************************************

Poster

Miss Cohen has designed this poster ( CLICK on the link above) to help us all take care of our mental health. You should have a wee look and see what advice you can give yourself or share with your family!

In addition, the staff at St Albert’s Primary School have created this video for you – we’re talking about feelings, we’re sharing some advice & sending our love.

Next week, we’re going to explore the power of language in bettering our mental health! We’re  going to use  words like –  “yet,” “soon,” “can” & “will.”

Watch this space for my ‘Finally Friday’ post coming up soon x

Maths & Numeracy

Here are a few questions to keep your brain ticking. Remember,  you don’t have to do them all in one go!
