Tuesday 19th May

Hey everyone – hope you’re all well and managing to have some chill time at home too! Remember all of these activities are just a guide! Sometimes it’s great to have a day off and do something you really enjoy! ❤

Yesterday I went on a big walk through the park with the pram!🌥 I saw loads of little lambs! They were super cute! Mrs Connell saw this very cute family when she was out a walk yesterday! Have a look at this video by clicking the link below!

Literacy

Talk to an adult about this picture. What do you think is happening? How do you feel about bees? I used to be quite scared of them but then I did some research and they’re actually very important for the world! If you can, you could try to write a sentence about what the bee is doing!

After that, you could practise writing your name! This builds up the tiny muscles in your hands. What a work out!

We know that plants need water to grow, why don’t you try and leave a cup, bottle or bucket outside and measure how much it rains? You could see if the container is empty, half full or completely full by the end of next week? This activity will let you know if you need to water your plants more!

I’ve attached an image of a rain catcher but you can be creative and design your own!

In the meantime, you could have a go at this missing numbers activity! Remember to do what you can manage!

RE

! know so many of you are so looking forward to Eid so I wonder if today you could teach me a few things about your special celebration, Miss Bull has recorded a video asking you some questions below:

If you do not celebrate Ramadan or Eid this would be a great time to learn all about the celebration, it is so important to learn about other people’s faiths and religions – remember, we are all different and being different is GREAT!:

1:30-2:30

Science!

Have a go at filling in the blanks on this plant growth activity! If you have a printer you could print and colour your work! You can also talk to an adult about what plants need to grow if that suits you better! Maybe you could record what you learn and send it to me?

2:30-3pm

At the end of each day, we will send you stories to listen to/read. Some of these will be read by your lovely St. Albert’s teachers, others might be by famous authors. To get ready for the story:

  • Get a snack and a drink
  • Get somewhere comfy – on cushions/sofa/bed, under a blanket
  • Get one of your parents or a brother/sister to listen with you

Today’s story is by Mr. Corrigan and it is so funny! It’s the story he read when he went live on Youtube last week! Hope you enjoy if you missed it!

Muhsin celebrated his 6th birthday yesterday! Happy birthday Muhsin! We all miss you so much!
