Our last week of school before Christmas

Blog entry

Over the last few days we were practising songs for the Nativity. We have practised Little Donkey, Silent Night and Calypso Carol. P4, p4/5 and p5 were practising the nativity for the infants’ Christmas Nativity.

The Nativity was on Monday 17th of December and Tuesday 18th of December. Some of the pupils were wearing fairy lights because they were singing beautifully. P6 and p6/7 decorated the Nativity tickets.

Lots of parents came and kids from nursery and Miss Kinloch’s sister came as well. We even sang Mrs Harker’s favourite Christmas song which is called The twelve days of Christmas.

We also did the raffles. It was fun seeing who was going to win the prizes. The prizes are rajas kids meals and pizzas vouchers and lots of others vouchers and gifts like dolls and lots more.

Our last week of school before the Christmas holidays

We have had a very busy week this week!

We have been learning about the First World War and we had to make poppies and talked  about people that died in the war. For the Turner Prize we had to pick a character who had died in the war and we had to tell the parents and judges the soldier’s birth date and date of death as well as giving information about the person. The First World War started in 1914 and ended in 1918 and many lives were lost.

Some  of  us went to the Christmas market and our parents came too. Aleeza Zamir and Neha Kabir went inside the big snow globe – it was great fun!

Here is a picture of us performing our Expressive Arts piece for the Turner Prize competition.
