We have been learning about the River Clyde. The river Clyde has a mouth and it has a bed. It has a source. Ship builders worked at the River Clyde. (Laiba, Maryam and Yahya)

We have been learning about adjectives for example, brown, white, black, soft, fluffy, rough, massive. (Maryam)

We have been learning a River Clyde song and dance. (Abdul and Ahmed)

We have been learning about nouns for example a person, place or a thing. (Yahya and Qasim)

We have been learning to give compliments in PATHS and we have been teaching Twiggle the turtle make good choices. (Muaaz)

We have been learning to count on for example to solve 3 + 16 you put 16 in your head because it’s the biggest number, then you count on from 16, 3 places… 17, 18, 19. (Haadiya and Nurjenna)

We have been learning to teach Twiggle to do Turtle. If you are feeling angry then you should do Turtle. Turtle is when you go into your shell and say STOP. Then you should take a deep breath and say what the problem is! (Aydin)

We have been learning to count numbers. I have been learning numbers to 20. (Alisha)

Primary 2s Learning.

We have been learning about counting on from numbers (Aamira)

We have been learning about measure. We have measured things with measuring sticks, paper clips and cubes. (Haadiya and Wael)

Graphs!

In Maths we have been learning about graphs. We built our own graph to show our favourite animals. We can discuss which animal is the favourite and which animal is the least favourite. We are learning to total different groups and find the difference between the different groups of animals.

Having fun and Learning About Glasgow!

Our Glasgow City Sight-Seeing Trip.

Primary 2 had such an amazing day on our bus trip around Glasgow. We saw lots of famous sights including the River Clyde which we have been learning about this term. We saw some famous ships that were built on the Clyde as well as some well known Clydeside buildings that sit there today.

We  loved being on the open-top bus and we have learned more about our city.

We have had a great week of fun and learning this week.

Learning in Primary 2!

In Maths we have been learning about “how many more than” and “how many less than” (Lily)

We have been learning to up-level our sentences with nouns and adjectives. (Aydin)

We have been learning about tally marks. (Qasim)

We have been learning about graphs. There are bar graphs and block graphs. (Aimee)

We have been learning about adjectives. You describe something with an adjective. (Maryam)

We have been learning with Twiggle. Twiggle was learning not to hit or push. Henrietta and Twiggle got in a fight because Henrietta tried to put a block at the top of the tower but it fell down. Twiggle felt angry so he decided that he had to push Henrietta. This was a bad choice. (Haadiya)

We have been learning about how to do a block graph. We have learned to fill it out and read the information. (Aamira and Haadiya)

We have been learning about the river Clyde and it made Glasgow and Glasgow made it. People in Glasgow made the ships and they still make ships, but they made ship long ago. It helped to make money and go to jobs. (Iman)

We have been doing sums in mental maths. (Ahmed)

We have been learning about graphs – you can draw in your favourite things. (Muaaz)

We have been learning about ship building on the river Clyde. People built ships to make money for buying houses. (Hirrah)
