Primary 2 have been learning different strategies to work out how many more/less tens are in one number compared to another number.  One way they have been doing this by partitioning numbers into tens and units and crossing off an equal number of tens from each number. They they count to see how many tens are left over.

They are also learning to do this in their heads by counting on or counting back.
