Another great week in Primary 2.

This week we have been working hard and having fun as usual.

We have been doing our 3 noun challenge. We have to write a sentence with nouns and adjectives to describe words like a volcano. (Yahya)

We have been learning about volcanoes. (Meekal)

We have bee learning about money. (Maryam)

We have been learning about living and non-living things. (Mohammed)

We have been learning about food chains. (Ghaith)

Food chains are about eating. You can eat and drink  from your mouth and it goes into your tummy. (Mohammed)

A food chain starts with a plant, then a creature comes and eats it and then a bigger animal will come and eat that creature, then the biggest animal will come and eat the medium size animal. (Muaaz)

A food chain could start with grass, then a cow eats the grass, then people eat the cows. (Ghaith)

We have been writing report cards all about our learning. (Iman)

We have been writing stories in our jotters. (Ayesha)

We have been practising our talents for the St Albert’s Talent show. (Haadiya)

Learning with Primary 2!

We have been learning how to speak English and playing a game in Maths where we sit in a circle and roll a big dice. Then move forward or back. (Uzair)

We have been learning about tens and units. 43 is 4 tens and 3 units. (Aiyla)

We have been learning to count using a 100 square. (Yahya)

We have been learning about The Big Issue and looking at their website. (Laiba and Wael)

We have started to learn about John Bird – he is the person who started The Big Issue to help the homeless people. (Hafsa)

We have been using empty number lines in Maths to add up numbers. (Lily)

We have been learning about Eid. At Eid we go to pray at Mosque. (Yahya)

We have been learning to write about our weekend in our jotters. (Meekal)

We have been learning about babies. Babies are beautiful and cute. (Haadiya)

We have been learning about the sounds that letters make. We have been practising sounds and writing sentences. (Ahmed)
