Since our move into the new purpose built facility in June 2017, the school has actively embraced the new technology that has been made available to us. Each faculty has access to suites of laptops and tablets, classrooms have LG Digital Screens built into the Learning Walls and open learning spaces have been fitted with SMART Technology Interactive screens. Additional technology has been made available in Science, Modern Languages and Music and Drama to help deliver a curriculum fit for the 21st Century. The entire building is wifi enabled to allow remote and flexible approaches to working to become an embedded part of practice.
Staff have undergone a wide variety of training in these new technologies and the school actively embraces Glow. Glow is the Scottish intranet platform made available free of charge to children, young people and staff. The Glow Platform allows access to Office 365 and a full suite of resources to help support high quality learning and teaching. Staff are also making use of Microsoft Teams within Glow to provide constant access, both in and out of school, to resources and assignments for pupils.
