Learning and Teaching is at the heart of everything we do and has been a sustained focus of professional development for the last three academic sessions. Staff have worked collaboratively to develop their own Waid Learning Model that is used as a basis for lesson planning and observations throughout the year.
The shared development of practice has resulted in a model that staff have ownership of and one that is displayed in every classroom in the school. The Learning Council was established to continue this work alongside pupils and the Learning Model is being developed to include development of our Core Skills Framework and individual subject skills frameworks.
