The Learning Council is a group of individuals from S1 – S4 who all work together in order to assist the teachers with improving learning in the school. The council contains a variety of people from different age groups and backgrounds. We have been assisting Mr Duncan and Miss Wrigley with a new learning model design. The experience has been interesting as we have explored the different ways in which we all learn and have tried to implement them all in the new model. The new model encompasses the different skills used across the curriculum and is a reminder for all pupils about the skills that we can recognise in class and for teachers when referring to work and pointing out the skills we are developing. The finished model is yet to be completely finalised and we are continuing to have weekly meetings in order to complete it.
