By law all children of school age are required to attend school regularly.  In Fife we believe that every minute a child attends school provides a valuable opportunity to learn.  We are therefore committed to ensuring that all children attend school regularly, and to supporting you and your child where this is difficult to achieve.  We would encourage all parents to support their children’s attendance at school and where they have any concerns contact the school to discuss these as soon as possible.

Schools may contact parents directly via our new text messaging, email or voicemail system if there are concerns about a child’s attendance.   All Fife schools work closely with parents to help solve attendance problems.

It will always be helpful to your child’s education if you can avoid taking them out of school during term time, for example appointments or holidays.

We ask that you notify the school office by telephone/in person or by text using 07860004836 by 09:30 to notify us of you child’s absence.
