Hello,

We are Primary 1 from room 1. Our class teacher is Miss Thomson

Our gym days are Monday and Wednesday. Children can come dressed in their PE clothes that day.

Just a gentle reminder to ensure names are written on all items of clothing.

Term 1:

This term we are beginning to learn our phonics sounds in literacy. We are working on practising our pencil control and learning how to describe something in writing.

In numeracy we are learning our numbers to 20 and understanding the value of each number and how to show these numbers in many ways. We are working on pattern, sequences and shape in maths.

Our class topic this term is ‘All About Me’. We are looking forward to learning about the each other. We are also learning all about people that help us.

We are practising our understanding and use of space in gym through Better Move Thinkers and learning how to follow instructions when playing games.

In Outdoor learning we are learning all about our local area and our school grounds.

In Health and Wellbeing and RME we are focusing on relationships with others and values. We are learning the importance of sharing and caring for others.

We are learning some greetings in French, maybe you can help us practise at home? We are learning Bonjour for hello and Au Revoir for goodbye.
