Term 1

Our teacher is Mrs Baillie

This term we are studying the novel Holes by Louis Sachar.  This is inspiring our literacy work and giving us great opportunities in our outdoor learning.  We a re looking at writing narratives and non-chronological reports.  We use Read Theory online to develop our comprehension work and we can access this from home.

In numeracy and maths we are focussing on place value and number operations.  In maths we have started to focus on aspects of measure.  We continue to use Sumdog as a support for our learning.

In other areas we are looking at the topic of renewable energy. We continue to learn our ukulele and are hoping to have more performances this year. We have started to build relationships with our p1 buddy class and have been focusing on the role models that we are expected to be in P7.

Our PE days are Monday and Friday.  On these days we can wear sports clothing  but may wish to bring a fresh t-shirt to change into.  Please note that no arerosol deoderant is permitted, stick or roll on may be used if required.

We have our partents info meeting regarding Dalguise on the 21st September where hopoefully any intial questions can be answered.  All other information will come out as we receive it nearer the time.
