This Block our class topic will be on Toys. However, this term we have started off our learning with a mini-topic focussing on Health and wellbeing: feelings and emotions. Additionally, as part of the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence’s Health and Wellbeing Curriculum, children in P1b will be covering Relationships, Sexual Health and Parenthood as part of their learning this session. This term we will cover the following topics: Our families; People who help and look after me; Asking Questions, making choices, saying yes, saying no; Friends and friendships, helping others; Playing together, being kind; When I feel sad or upset.

We will be using a national resource that you can access at https://rshp.scot/.

On a Tuesday Morning, Mrs Chalmers will be teaching outdoor learning to p1b. If anyone has any wellies, jackets or waterproofs for their child, we kindly ask that you bring these in to be used for outdoor learning.

Primary 1b’s main gym day is on a Wednesday in which children should come in their gym kit for the entirety of that day.

Primary 1b’s homework will be sent home everyday that they learn a new sound and should be returned the following day.
