Block Three (April – June)

Primary 1b is situated in room 2 and currently has 21 children. Their class teacher is Mr Cameron. Primary 1b are a class that are committed to following the school values – Safe, Ready and Respectful!

This block our class topic will be ‘In the Garden’. Additionally, as part of the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence’s Health and Wellbeing Curriculum, children in P1b will be covering Relationships, Sexual Health and Parenthood as part of their learning this session. This term we will cover the following topics: People who help look after me, Looking After Plants and Animals and Pregnancy and Looking After a Baby. We will be using the same national resource as last block, it can be accessed from http://rshp.scot/.

Primary 1b’s main gym day is now on a Wednesday in which children should come in their gym kit for the entirety of that day. We also have an additional PE slot on Friday afternoon, however, normal school uniform will be appropriate for this day. If this were to change Mr Cameron would inform parents via Seesaw.

Primary 1b’s reading book will be sent home every Monday and should be returned by Thursday, Children may be assigned additional homework, such as ORT key words and tricky words.
