Be Active

Keeping active helps your mind and body. People who do regular physical activity have a lower risk of diseases, such as heart disease. It can also boost self-esteem, mood, sleep quality and energy. Small, positive changes can make a difference. Adults should aim to achieve 30 minutes and children 60 minutes of moderate activity most days of the week.

There are many easy and free ways to keep active. Take a look at some ideas below!

1) Walk, cycle or run to work/school. Keep track on Strava here!

2) You don’t need a gym to exercise. Here are some ideas of workouts you can do at home.

3) Follow a yoga programme online for strength, tone and mindfulness.

4) Try out some skipping – it is not just for children!

5) Stair climbing or park games!
