This week in Ferryport has been very different with the nursery being decanted to a new location for the duration of the Summer.

The first couple of days consisted of staff, and our AM session children, contributing suggestions on where furniture etc should be placed. On Wednesday our ‘wrap around’ care children joined us.

All the children have enjoyed exploring the new nursery space and the activities/experiences available. The playground has proved a popular choice with some children exploring the playground games, some exploring balls and a range of sports equipment. One child found a pile of leaves which then became a game of how high we can throw the leaves, how far would they float etc.

Inside there was cooking in the home corner whilst looking after the pets. Some children enjoyed bouncing on the space hoppers, exploring the crash mats and trying their hand at shooting basket balls. The art/craft table proved popular with some children sharing ideas and using a variety of media. A few of our children enjoyed representing their ideas on the white board.
