What a quiet start to the October holidays , with very few children we have had a lot of the nursery to ourselves , where there has been a great amount of role play with the animals , blocks and Lego. A few of the children were helping sort out all our jigsaws , it was a lot of work but worked hard to find all the pieces to match. We found some colourful play dough to use , some were using it as ‘coats and hats’ for the animals and creating homes.
Later in week , we spent a couple of days at the school , where we explored the learning hub , built train tracks , created a restaurant and done some drawing. We took a walk down to the local park , where we worked on our gross motor skills , climbed up the ropes to go down the slide and had a shot on the swings, before coming back we took a walk round the pond to see the ducks.

Once we were back in our building , a couple children were using their imagination in the home corner , having discussions about who is having a nap , who is going to eat , and how to look after the baby where they showed great work taking care and dressing them.
We explored more of the nursery , using the building blocks to create different patterns.
