Well done to all of the pupils who were awarded certificates as either High Fliers or High Triers in P.E. for November. A fantastic achievement by everyone!
The school’s Attendance Group are launching the “What’s your number?” campaign to impact positively on non-attendance. The campaign has been launched with each year group at assemblies this week.
Each pupil will know their number – their attendance figure.
We look forward to your support with this initiative.
SCHOLAR is an online programme hosted and managed by Heriot-Watt University. The programme provides support materials for STEM, business and languages subjects at National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher level.
Resources include interactive quizzes, exam questions, paper-based worksheets, slideshows etc. Every unit has an end of test facility which enables pupils to consolidate their learning. Pupils, and staff, can track progress throughout the programme.
SCHOLAR now offers parents access to the online resource. Please check the “Parent information letter” below for further information.
Pupils should speak to their class teacher or to Miss Doig to collect their SCHOLAR username and password.
A key Improvement Priority for the school this session is that of developing high quality learning experiences. As a school we acknowledge that we can only achieve this by working together to improve the quality of learning and teaching across the curriculum and thereby ensure that every lesson counts.
Our newly developed Learning Standard has been launched this month and acts as a visual tool/representation of what we consider to be the key elements to be found in any learning episode. The different elements provide the focus for our continuing professional development as we push ourselves to innovate and to continually raise the quality and consistency of learning and teaching experiences across the curriculum.
