In P1, we have been learning about living things. We learned seeds can grow in soil, sand, and even cotton wool as long as they have sun and water. We have made grass heads and are looking forward to watching the grass grow into hair. We’ll keep you updated soon with another photo.

Irn Bru Park Trip
On the 22nd of June 2013 Primary six went to the iron Bru Park. We walked up to the Forth & Clyde canal because we were doing the Keep Scotland Beautiful Litter Pick. After we finished we went to the Irn Bru Park. After that we had our brake. Then we went into the park & played for a while. Then we went back to school. It was home time when we got back to school.

.Primary 6 have been learning about the European Union in their class. The European Union is a group of 27 countries who get together and discuss problems that matter. We randomly selected a country from the European Union and whatever country we got, we had to research about it. I got Finland and found some cool facts. There are 27 countries in the European Union and 27 in our class so we had 1 each. We also had to make flags from all different materials. From paper and card to loo roll and leaves. The topic was really fun and I enjoyed researching it.

P4/5 The Unsinkable Ship
Primary 4/5 worked hard on their Titanic Topic but they also had lots of fun! Their first task was to research fantastic facts…
Next we had to ‘raise the Titanic’ from her watery grave. We decided to make her out of recycled materials.
We found out some facts about the different classes of passenger and created our on passengers with biographies.
We worked in groups to make cabins, life jackets and evacuation plans.
To celebrate the end of our Topic we had a Titanic Assembly and we were lucky enough to have a visit from The Titanic Honour and Glory Museum in Grangemouth. We had great fun dressing up and sharing all the facts that we knew about the Titanic. P4/5 became official ‘Titanoraks’!

Rainforest Topic
Primary 6 have recently been doing a rainforest topic and they were doing lots of work on it such as homework projects, fair trade and rainforest groups. We had our rainforest groups Ecoligists, Primoligists, Zooligists, Botanists and Anthropologists. We had these groups to do team activities. We also did a homework project to either draw make a model or craft, they were AMAZING!!!!!!! We’ve also started learning about Fair Trade. We’ve already learned that Fair Trade represents the people that make the products who don’ get as much as they deserve. It is a sign to remind you that you can help.
