P4/5 The Unsinkable Ship

Primary 4/5 worked hard on their Titanic Topic but they also had lots of fun! Their first task was to research fantastic facts…

Next we had to ‘raise the Titanic’ from her watery grave.  We decided to make her out of recycled materials.

We found out some facts about the different classes of passenger and created our on passengers with biographies.

We worked in groups to make cabins, life jackets and evacuation plans.

To celebrate the end of our Topic we had a Titanic Assembly and we were lucky enough to have a visit from The Titanic Honour and Glory Museum in Grangemouth.  We had great fun dressing up and sharing all the facts that we knew about the Titanic.  P4/5 became official ‘Titanoraks’!

P4/5 loved taking part in the Summer show. Here are some of their comments…

I felt so happy and it was fun. We sang our songs and my gran waved at me. I had great fun!

My mum and dad said P4/5 were the best in the show.

My mum, big sister and aunty were there. I was embarrassed when there were lots of people there but the show was good.

My gran thought I was fantastic. She said I was very clear. My auntie thought I was great. I liked having my gran and auntie there.
