Comic Relief

Primary 6 held a talent show for the whole school. There were a lot of auditions and it was a very hard choice. This talent show wasn’t just a normal talent show it was to raise money for Comic Relief. Overall the whole school raised about £400. It was a brilliant show and everyone had a giggle and a bit of fun because there were so many different acts. We had singing, dancing juggling and much more. The overall winner was Keyon in P2 with his performance of Heal the World. The runners up were Callum from P4/5 dancing to Gangnam Style and Amy, Megan and Rebecca from P6 & 7 dancing to Scream and Shout. Well done everyone!

P6 Rainforest Topic

Primary 6 have been learning about the rainforest for our new topic. We have been put into groups and we made our own explorers that were going to the rainforest with Dr. Wilbur Jones. We have made our classroom into a rainforest with trees and animals. We have learned that there are lots of animals, waterfalls and plants in the rainforest. The rainforest is a huge place but the biggest one is in Brazil and it’s called the Amazon rainforest. There are lots of people living in the rainforest, over 200 million people. In art we made rainforest people with Mrs Millard.

Max in the middle was fun with Karen and George. I enjoyed every day of it and so did the rest of primary 6. I liked when we had tasty Tuesday but I only liked the cheese.

P6 Recycled Rockets

I made my rocket out of drain pipe, plastic cups and bottles.  It took about 2 weeks to make, the hardest bit was to stick it all together.  I really enjoyed painting it and my Papa helped me finish it.

By Taylor.

Basically, I started off with a coca cola bottle and then I used special tape that is paintable.  After that, I used a toilet tube and made a slit, I pulled it tight enough to go over the top.  Finally, I taped it with the tape.  For the shuttle I used two toilet tubes taped together, then I used a small amount of a toilet tube and cut it to a point, taped it down and for the wings I used a pizza base and cut two wing shapes out of it.  Finally I added a triangle for the tail fin and painted it!

Sophie.

My rocket is made out of an empty juice bottle.  The wings are empty toilet roll tubes.  I covered it all in white card, cut out the wings and stuck them on.  We painted the top of it and the wings, then covered it in stars.  I enjoyed painting it the most.

Zoe.

Have a look at the rest of them here.

P6 Space shuttle homework

Our teacher Mrs Buchanan has set P6 a homework task to build our own space shuttle. We all got 2 weeks to complete this task (it is not finished yet it finishes on the 10th February). The reason why we are making a space shuttle is because our topic this term is space. It is very fun and very interesting all of our class know lots of facts about space, space shuttles , space men , and loads more

Thank you
