Clann a latha an-diugh agus clann a latha an-dè!

Chaidh am buidhean seinn agus clas a trì tarsainn a’ rathad gu cruinneachadh ‘clann an latha an-dè.’

Sheinn sinn òrain Gàidhlig dhaibh agus sheinn iad feadhainn aca còmhla rinn!

Bha tòrr spòrs againn a’ bruidhinn ruitha as a dhèidh agus a’ còinneachadh ri cuid de dhaoine a bha sinn eòlach air anns a’ choimhearsneachd. Bha sinn gu math fortanach cèicichean agus sùgh fhaighinn cuideachd.

Horshader

Chaidh sinn air ais gu Horshader an t-seachdain sa agus chuir sinn buntàta nas tràithe am bliadhna agus sìol flùr-grèine. Tha sinn an dùil flùirichean agus tomato-an a chuir anns na seachdainean ri thighinn.

Bha cuid againn air bhioran a’ lorg boiteagan ge-ta agus bha tòrr spòrs againn gan lorg anns a pholl!

Bidh sinn a’ tilleadh air ais gu Horshader a chiad latha as-dèidh na saor-làithean. Cuimhnich air ur bòtannan!

We returned to Horshader this week and planted our potatoes earlier this year, we also planted some sunflower seeds and hope to help create a wildflower area in our next few trips.

Some of us were also enjoying finding worms in the mud!

We will be returning to Horshader the first day after the holidays so please remember your wellies!

Obair sgeulachd

Tha sinn air a bhith ag obair air sgeulachdan mac-meanma a’ leughadh agus a’ sgriobhadh an teirm-sa. Seo cuid de na goireasan a chleachd sinn airson a bhith ag ionnsachadh briathrachas na sgeulachdan agus an ordugh far am bith rudan a tachairt. Chleachd sinn pupaidean, bord-stoiridh, cairtean, taois airson mathain a chruthachadh agus rinn sinn beagan STEM le bhith a cruthachadh drochaid aison na tri gobhairean agus an trobha. Bha clas a 2 & 3 ag obair air a bhith a’ sgriobhadh litir agus a’ cleachdadh buadhairean airson innse mu dheidhinn caractair. We have been learning about imaginative stories and re-telling stories this term. Here are some of the activities & and resources we’ve used to help with our learning; puppets, storyboards, sequencing cards, playdough to make a bear to use as inspiration to write about and we also included a STEM activity where p1 had to choose materials to build a bridge for the three Billy goats to cross. Clas 2 &3 were developing their letter writing skills by writing a letter of apology from Goldilocks to the Three bears and P3 were using adjectives to describe a character of their choosing.

Shrove Tuesday

Thainig buidhean bho ‘Clann an latha an-de’ a-steach airson ar cuideachadh a deanamh foilleagan air Dimairt. Bha cothrom againn Gaidhlig a bhruidhinn ruitha agus chuidich iad sinn ag ionnsachadh mu dheidhinn tomhas agus sabhailteachd anns a’ chidsin. Chuir sinn diofar rudan air uachdair na foilleagan agus reic sinn an uair sin iad ris a’ chlann eile anns a’ sgoil.
Some of the ladies from the ‘Clann an latha an-de’ group, as well as some of the children’s grannies kindly came in to help us make pancakes. We spread jam or syrup on them and then sold them to the other kids at break time.

Biadh Fallain

Dh’ionnsaich sinn ciamar a’ dheanadh  sinn ‘smoothies’ agus snac fallain le diofar measan agus rice cakes. Bha clas 2 & 3 ag obair air na sgillean gearraidh aca le bhith ag ionnsachadh ciamar a chleachdadh iad sgian biorach gu sabhailte. Dh’fheuch cuid de chlann diofar seorsa measan airson a chiad uair agus bha iad blasta! We learned how to make smoothies and a healthy snack using different fruits and rice cakes. P2&3 were learning how to use a knife safely to cut some fruit and they did very well. Some children tried some of the fruit for the first time and most of them said it was delicious!
