We’ve created a new phonics working wall in our classroom which is colour coded so that the children know what sounds to use to make and practise spelling words!

Yoga
Carly was invited along to our school to teach us some Yoga this week. The children all listened very attentively and learnt some yoga poses. They now want Mrs Macleod to do Yoga with them in class! 
Maths Week trip
We went on a trip over to Stornaway this week as part of Maths Week to take part in a session by the author of “magic of maths” Among other books.
He was very entertaining and showed us lots of mathematical tricks.
A few of the children were invited up to take part in some of the activities shown.
