~~Rhyme of the Week~~
Our rhyme of the week is Tommy Thumb.
**5 March 2018 STEM WEEK**
We have been learning about our bodies.
“See when you’re exercising, your blood goes a wee travel round your body”
“See that red, I got blood there”
“My body fights off germs”
“The blood is coming through our bodies”
What is blood made of?
White blood cells that fight germs and infection.
Platelets that help heal cuts.
Red blood cells that carry oxygen.
Plasma helps the blood move through veins and arteries.

We have been learning about our bodies and how they work. We decided our rhyme of the week will be Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes. You can also sing it in French!
***Fun In The Snow***
We constructed a snow castle using a washing bowl, small and large cones and crates.
“We can fill up the cones to make towers”
“Let’s make a giant one with this one”
“We are making a snow castle”
“Look, I can make a pattern with this spoon…and this tennis racquet”

We decided to have I’m a little teapot as our rhyme of the week.
“Making tea outside is my favourite!”
I’m a little teapot, short and stout,
Here’s my handle, here’s my spout.
When the tea is ready, hear me shout.
Tip me up and pour me out.
***TECHNOLOGY***
We have been learning about all different types of technology. We are using an ipad today. We selected the games room icon. You can choose how many pieces you would like to try. It starts with eight pieces and after a little while some of us tried the next levels which were 16 then…..24 then……36 then…..it goes right up to 250 piecies!
“I’m using technology”
“I did eight first”
“I can learn next number 16”
