We are going to learn two rhymes from our Nativity story this week.

First one is, Jesus Was Born in a Stable, to the tune of See-saw Marjory Daw

See-saw, creep to the door,

Jesus was born in a stable.

He is asleep snuggled down in the hay

We’re happy because it’s his birthday.

Second one is, Sing a Song of Shepherds, to the tune of Sing a Song of Sixpence.

Our rhyme of the week is Special News, taken from our Nursery Rhyme Nativity. It is sung to the tune of London Bridge.

Our Nativity this year has a nursery rhyme theme. We thought it would be a good idea to introduce the children to a rhyme from it each week. This week is one we all know, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star!

You are invited to a Wiliamwood Cluster Parent & Carer Workshop.

TIME AND DATE:  TUESDAY 8th NOVEMBER from 6.30pm to 7.30

VENUE:  BUSBY PRIMARY SCHOOL

The focus of the workshop is  ‘The wellbeing and resilience of young children’. Our Educational Psychologist, Ainsley McGoldrick, will share supportive strategies on how best to support your child as they grow and develop.

It is finance week. We chose Five Currant Buns in a Baker’s Shop.

You can sing the song at home and act it out  using real money to support learning.

Along came…….with a penny one day,

Bought a currant bun and took it right away.

The children voted for Pat-a-Cake as their rhyme of the week.

Our rhyme of the week is Little Bo Peep.

Littlie Bo Peep has lost her sheep
and doesn’t know where to find them.
Leave them alone,
and they’ll come home.
Wagging their tails behind them.
