We had fun making these on our last day.
Our class where led to believe that the council couldn’t cut the grass anymore so each class had been assigned an area of the playground to cut the grass with scissors. Their wee faces were a picture.
We use these boards to help build on our mental maths strategies and to help us visualise maths strategies
Pupils created collages using a combination of chalk and natural materials they sourced themselves.
IMG_9625 Today the pupils were learning to use a saw under close supervision. They loved cutting wood and took a keepsake home if they wished.
Snowball fights and alternative snowman designs.
What an afternoon! The children from p4a and b had the pleasure of visiting St Luke’s High School today to take part in the primary 4 tennis festival. We took part in a number of different activities to develop our tennis skills and ball/racket handling! A huge thank you to the sport leaders and St Luke teachers for such a fun afternoon.
After weeks of hard work, the pupils finally got a chance to hang their bird feeders around the playground. What started off as a discussion about climate change, turned into research, designing, re-designing and being resourceful with recycled materials, to finally create these fantastic bird feeders. We’re looking forward to seeing them being used by the local wildlife.
