British STEM Week

This week it is British STEM Week. We were very lucky to have some of our peers, the STEM  Leaders, present a lesson to the class.

The theme this year is time. We identified different ways that time relates to STEM; evolution, space, seasons, technology progressions and life spans.

As part of the activity led by the STEM leaders, we worked collaboratively to build a model car.  We used our maths knowledge of the speed, distance, time triangle to calculate the speed of the car going down a ramp.

A fun filled World Book Day

We started our day off by participating in the ‘World Book Day Premier Takeover’ quiz  led by the incredible author Ben Lyttleton and tik tok teacher influencer Kit Brown.  We found the questions quite challenging but we learned lots.

We then took part in the Masked Reader activity, where teachers read books in disguise and we had to guess which teacher was reading. It was good fun and we found it funny trying to distinguish the voices of the teachers.

After break, we went outside to take part in a treasure hunt. We had to use book and author knowledge and our problem solving skills to crack the code in the right order. We really enjoyed it and have expanded our book knowledge!
