Welcoming our families

Thank you so much to the families who were able to come in and join us for our coffee and chat, the children loved having you in to share their learning with you!

Health + Wellbeing pupil group

The H+W group are working hard to promote the benefits of the daily mile around the school! We have been designing surveys about the daily mile for pupils, parents and teachers, making posters to put up around the school to advertise the daily mile, creating a PowerPoint to share at assembly and designing lettering for our wall display. Keep up the good work!

Maths in action!

Primary 1b have been really busy developing our numeracy and maths skills this week!

We have been building and measuring huge towers…

We have been creating our own patterns with the peg boards…

We  have been using Numicon in lots of different ways too. We have been using it to help us to calculate fact families…

And we have been using it to calculate the values of Numicon towers!

Writing

Primary 1b have been working hard on their writing today! We have been reading the story of the little red hen and we made a whole class story map to help us to retell the tale…

Then we had a go at writing our own story maps so that we can practice telling the story on our own!

Look out for us retelling the story in lots of different ways over the next week!! We’ll be acting it out on our stage, we’ll be making our own puppets and we might even have a go at making our own bread like the little red hen did.

Target working!

Primary 1b have been working so hard! We have been working with our learning buddies on our learning targets and we have been practicing our tricky words everyday. We know that we have been successful at learning our words if we can say them, find them, make them and write them. Well done Primary 1!
