Target working!

Primary 1b have been working so hard! We have been working with our learning buddies on our learning targets and we have been practicing our tricky words everyday. We know that we have been successful at learning our words if we can say them, find them, make them and write them. Well done Primary 1!

Celebrating Burns’ day!

Primary 1b have been learning about Scotland and Rabbie Burns this week! We have been practicing our Scottish song – Donald where’s yer troosers, we have been doing some Scottish country dancing and we have been trying our traditional Scottish dish of haggis (vegetarian), neeps and tatties!

Please follow this link to see some of our dancing!

Primary 1 coffee morning

25/02/19 @ 2.15pm P1 Would you like to find out more about the digital resources that are used in Primary 1?  Come along to our coffee and chat and have an opportunity to work with your child on some online resources that you can then use at home.

Material hunt

Primary 1b have been on a material hunt! We went all around the school looking for wood, plastic, metal, glass and fabric!

We found lots of wood!

We found glass!

We found metal!

We found plastic!

We also found some fabric!

Have a look at home and see if you can spot any materials from our materials hunt!

Letter from Santa!

Today Primary 1b had a letter from Santa!

Santa asked us to help write a shopping list for him because he and Mrs Claus had been far too busy and had forgotten! We wrote a list together of all of our favourite Christmas dinner foods.

Then we had a go at writing the list out to send to Santa! Here is a fantastic effort from Lacie!

Well done!

Art and design

Primary 1b have been working very hard with Mrs McIntyre on these wonderful dragon pictures! They have following a design process by starting with a sketch then editing and finally colouring with different materials. They have been talking about hot and cold colours and made choices about which colours they wanted to use! Mrs Fitzsimmons came to have a look at them today and she couldn’t believe how amazing they were! Well done Primary 1!
