Maths Week Scotland

Primary 2b will be celebrating Maths Week Scotland this week through a variety of different areas of the curriculum.

Pupils can get involved at home by exploring how numeracy skills are used every day.

Perhaps they could help by making dinner – weighing ingredients, measuring volume and time, chopping vegetable into appropriate shapes and measurements, applying knowledge of time to know when dinner will be ready.

There is also a national Sumdog competition running this whole week. All pupils have been entered into the competition and will be taking part at different points this week. Pupils can also participate in this at home and so numeracy homework this week should be completed on Sumdog. All pupils have their log ins in the front of their homework jotters.
