Week beginning 9.11

Since November is growth mindset month , this week primary 3b have been taking part in lots of growth mindset activities through maths and steam challenges.

Throughout the week we have been working on different maths challenges. The pupils have been learning about growth mindset and how having a positive attitude to challenges can help the brain work in different ways.

The pupils also took part in a STEAM challenge to work on their science, technology, engineering, art and maths skills. They had to work collaboratively to make Rumpilstiltskein a new musical instrument using various different materials.

The pupils were also given their Read Write and count bags to use in school which will then be sent home in the next few weeks. The pupils were very excited to look at their new books and activities. They had a look at the animal book and even began to create their very own animal fact file.

We will  be sharing more about these in the next couple of weeks with ideas for lots of activities the pupils can do at home also.
