I can confirm that Miss Andrea Bannerman will be our teacher within our nursery class and that Mrs Lee Dickson and Mr Alexander Johnston will be our teachers in Primary 1. It is highly likely (although not definite) that Miss Fiona Guthrie and Mr Frazer Keir will teach in our P2-3 department, although I am unable to confirm exactly how the children will be classified within this department at this

Uniform Update

Several people have asked whether the grey tartan pinafore dresses, worn by some pupils at Mearns Primary, would be suitable also for Maidenhill. Having seen these dresses alongside Maidenhill’s other uniform items, it has been agreed that Maidenhill pupils would be welcome to wear these if they wish until at least such time that our uniform policy is reviewed during the course of next session.

Open Afternoon

Just a reminder that all new Maidenhill children and parents are invited to an open afternoon on Friday August 16, 2.00pm-4.30pm (last entry 4.10pm). This will allow everyone to see our new building for the first time and will let children meet key staff before the term starts at 8.55am on Monday August 19. We look forward to seeing you there. Bank Holiday May 2020

We have just heard that the UK Government has decided to move the May Bank Holiday from Monday May 4 to Friday May 8. This is to coincide with planned celebrations to commemorate the 75th anniversary of VE Day. Paperwork Drop-in Sessions

Mrs Annie Fraser, Maidenhill’s Senior Business Support Assistant, will be at Mearns Primary School on the 17th and 18th of June between 2pm and 4pm, to collect any paperwork which you have to hand in prior to your child starting nursery or school in August. The parents/carers of pupils starting in the nursery are also required to bring along proofs to be checked – child’s birth certificate and two forms
