School Grounds Keepers – Meeting 1 Photos
Planting Trees
Today we planted around 25 trees on the banking! 25 down, 50 to go!
Thank you to our lovely parent and grandparent helpers. We couldn’t have done it with out you!

Please find attached minutes to our meeting today.
We went outside to explore the school grounds and look for locations where we could potentially plant trees. We then came back inside to use our Chromebooks for research:
- Height
- Roots breadth
- Soil condition
- Light
Tree Saplings
We have been given 75 trees to plant around our school and community. Here are a list of the different trees:

| Crataegus monogyna | Hawthorn | 15 |
| Prunus spinosa | Blackthorn | 15 |
| Euonymus europaeus | European spindle | 15 |
| Sorbus aucuparia | Rowan | 15 |
Our first job is to research these trees and find out how much space they take and where they grow best.
Do you recognise any? Have you seen any on your route to school?
We will then be in a position to plant them before the winter is over.
