This week P4/5 have been continuing to do the Daily Mile and have been cycling throughout the day as part of our fundraising efforts for Ukraine. We have currently cycled and ran over 402 miles, which is amazing!! We are over half way to meeting our target J

Today during PE, we were playing rounders and it was lots of fun.

In maths, Flawless Fractions and Dedicated Decimals have been doing problem solving tasks. We had to figure out the age of a Granny and the clues were that 2 digits added to 10, if you reserve the digits it would be the Dad’s age and there was a 36 year difference between the ages. It was fun but challenging trying to solve the problem.

Marvellous Multipliers have been learning their 7 times table. They have played lots of games like Hit the Button – we were in two teams and whoever hit the correct answer first got a point for their team, we really enjoyed playing it. They have been using their workbooks. We also did some problem solving and we had to figure out how many Zaps and Zonks were there. The Zaps had 3 horns and the Zonks had 2 horns, we were told there were 26 horns altogether and 10 monsters.

In Spanish, P5 were solving problems all about the months of the year. They were then able to play different Spanish games on the chromebooks. We have a section in our Google Classroom where we can revise some of our Spanish skills by playing various games.

We are very proud that we have achieved our Silver RSPB Wild Challenge Award, we are just uploading our evidence to show that we have achieved this award and are hoping it will be accepted.

In writing, we have been working on our posters and banners for our fundraising. They are very informative and eye catching. We also wrote a reflective piece of writing for example our first day of school. We had to think about how we felt and how we feel now.

In Health and Wellbeing we have been learning about the effects of alcohol. If you have too much alcohol it can make your oesophagus bleed. If you haven’t consumed alcohol roughly in the last 15 hours you are considered sober.
