Welcome back to our blog! We are so excited to restart our outdoor learning experiences in Woodland. Our Woodland is every Wednesday afternoon so don’t forget to bring your waterproofs and wellies every week!

In Literacy, we continue to up level our ideas by using our senses, adjectives, openers and connectives! As there is no talking homework, we plan our ideas before Writing them. This helps us to develop our ideas!
We are continuing to differentiate grammar terms such as adjectives, verbs, nouns and adverbs! We are becoming more and more confident at sorting words into the correct class.
This week, we have been learning about prediction. Mrs Amin told us the name of our books only. Using the clues from the title, we had to design a book cover on what we thought it looked like! After, Mrs Amin revealed the correct front cover and we were amazed at how close (or far) our prediction was!

We have been using digital technology to practise our spelling words. We can log in confidently and access google documents to create sentences using our spelling words.
Lastly, in Literacy, we have refreshed our memory about non-fiction texts. We have been learning how to use the contents, index and glossary page to find information or new vocabulary!
In Science, we have started our new topic – Germs and Diseases. Mrs Amin introduced this topic by adding glitter to our hands. The glitter represented germs! Then, we had to shake our friends hands!
We were shocked at how quick and fast the germs transferred to one another and multiplied!
After, we did a quality control on washing the germs from our hands. We realised the importance of washing our hands for the correct length of time to ensure our hands are completely clean! We compared and contrasted the different methods people typically wash their hands!
I wonder what we will be learning about next week… I can’t wait!
