Welcome to our First Blog of Primary 3!

We are super exited to show you our learning experiences so far in Primary 3! It has been amazing being reunited with our friends and engaging back into our school routine! Have fun looking at our pictures of learning.

Our book of the week was ‘The Day the Crayons Quit’. This informed our learning for Literacy, Maths and other curricular areas.

We had the opportunity to explore our feelings and emotions. We made connections with how the crayons felt in the story. We shared examples of moments when we felt happy, excited, miserable, scared and worried!

‘I felt happy returning to school and excited!’ – Jessica

‘I felt worried about coming back to school but now I feel happy.’ – Gemma

‘Who am I?’

Mrs Amin set us a challenge to read statements based on the crayons from our story. We had to solve which crayon matched the description.

Using our knowledge of sounds we made tricky words to describe the crayons from the story.

We completed a variety of comprehension questions based on The Day the Crayons Quit.

‘We worked in pairs to answer questions in full sentences.’ – London

We explored textures and different materials to create crayon rubbings. Using our rubbings, we are going to create abstract art work! Watch this space!

In this glorious weather, we created 3D pictures.

‘We used natural resources such as stones, leaves and mud.’ – Charlotte

‘I created a spiral pattern.’ – Hasan

‘We worked as a team to create a fire-pit’.

Wow! What a busy week it has been indeed! You have all came to school super enthusiastic to learn and eager to engage within every learning experience. It has been lovely watching you all settle, play and learn with your friends. I am so excited to share this year with you all Primary 3.

Have a wonderful weekend superstars!

Love,

Mrs Amin xx
