Literacy
We are leaning to write sentences. We took time to self-assess our writing to see where we could make improvements.
Daisy: “The J is the wrong way round.”
Carla: “I have missed a full stop.” Carla also extended her sentence to include extra details.
Ollie: “I am missing an r and I have capitals in some words.”
Jamie: ” I could make my writing much smaller.”
Have a look at some of the improvements and amendments we have made in the pictures below.
Science
In science we have been investigating different toys and discussing what makes them go or work. We looked at how a force can be used to push or pull something and how a force can make things move.
Achievements
Here are some things we are proud of this week……
Maya enjoyed writing a story and is proud because she wrote so many words.
Carla enjoyed sharing stories she had written at home.
Finn created his own tartan after looking at some patterns last week on Burns day. He also wrote a story at the writing table about Bingo the dog who is a character in one of our reading books.
Zara can use cubes to add to 10.
Well done Maya!
This is Carla’s writing she enjoyed doing at home!
Wow Carla!
Finn is enjoying creating texts independently.
Good adding skills Zara!
Well done P.1a
You are all working very hard!
