Our Creative Models in 1C

Primary 1c spent time creating wonderful buildings, dens and structures whilst applying their literacy and numeracy skills.

We used many amazing skills to complete this task such as:

  • Team work as we set each other tasks
  • Problem solving
  • Organisation
  • Communication as we constantly worked together effectively

In this group, 1c created a space ship! We made masks out of cardboard or paper plates so we could protect ourselves in outer space. Inside we created a steering wheel and a sat nav to navigate our direction. Also, we used plastic bags which represented the glass in windows!

Murdo, David, Kerr and Myra

In this group, we created a HAUNTED CASTLE! We measured the dimensions of all the different shapes we were using, we also measured out our windows carefully to make sure they were equal.

Matthew, Ace, Lily-Anne and Evie

This team built a duo, a rocket and a flying saucer! We used string to help hold our sign, created two signs which said Watch out and I am a Spider!

Eva, Sophia, Archie, Hishaam and Alexander

Here is a haunted volcano which has a lot of lava waiting to explode! We numbered our volcano all the way up to 100, created trapped doors and used our imagination to create a numbered steering wheel! 1C loved using the measuring tapes to not only to measure but to count too! FANTASTIC!

Amy, Gabby, Jack and Ethan

This group embraced the film Transylvania to create there spooky machine! They created monsters, bats and ghosts. Not only that, they used their time knowledge to create a clock so they knew what time it is when they travel.

Christopher, Luke, James, Alfie and Kate

Lastly, here are some ‘Spellfie’s’ (spelling with a selfie) from 1c who are demonstrating their great skills for making words through different ways!

James’s excellent ‘ue’ words!
