Carlibar Social Emotional Language Framework (SELF)

The Carlibar SELF was originally developed by Annie McGauley (DHT, Carlibar Communication Centre) and Chris Atherton (East Renfrewshire Educational Psychology Service) in collaboration with a group of current and former East Renfrewshire ASD advisors.  It was developed using outcomes from Curriculum for Excellence.  The purpose of the framework is to support practitioners throughout the process of wellbeing assessment, intervention and evaluation where children and young people have communication needs.
