Curriculum Evening – Tuesday 10th November – 6-7pm

Dear Parents/Carers,We have organised a range of presentations and workshops for you to drop into in order for you to find out more about the curriculum at each stage of the school
Session 1       6.05pm- 6.25pm
Session 2       6.35pm- 6.55pm
The teachers will deliver the presentations/ workshops at Session 1 and 2. Please choose a different presentation/workshop for each Session. The Big Maths Sessions are repeated across the school so you need only attend one of these. Please feel free to choose sessions that are relevant to your children. We look forward to seeing you at our Curriculum Evening!

P5 – First Friday Mass – St. Vincent’s Friday 6th November

Weather permitting; Primary 5 classes will attend Mass in St. Vincent’s Church, Thornliebank this Friday at 10am.We shall leave from school at 9.30am accompanied by members of staff and will return at 11.00am.The children will walk to/from church via a local route alongside Woodfarm High School and through parkland, thus avoiding any major road crossings.

  • Full school uniform, shirt, tie, school shoes
  • Children to dress appropriately for the weather conditions of the day.
  • Parent helpers with a PVG certificate are welcome to assist.
  • If there is any change in medical conditions / medication, from information given at the start of term, please inform school office

Sky Academy Skills Studios – Primary 7a – Tuesday 20th October

On Tuesday 20th, our Primary 7a children will be attending Sky Academy Skills Studios. Pupils will go behind the scenes on an exclusive tour and get the chance to work with all the latest technology to make their own TV report in the Sky Skills Studios. Primary 7a’s topic is ‘Participation in Sport’. It is necessary that you read and complete ALL 3 attached documents and return to the class teacher no later than 14th October.The children will leave the school and travel by coach to Livingston at 8.10am and therefore must be brought to school and be in class by no later than 8.am.There will be a charge of £4 to cover part of transport costs.

Aid for Refugees

Dear Parent/Carer,

You will all be aware of the current plight of refugees, mainly from Syria, and the efforts made to send aid to charitable or aid organisations to support families who now find themselves in great need of help.  Councillor Waters is co-ordinating aid to those who are held in refugee camps in Calais and he is organising a convoy which leaves later on this month.  Continue reading Aid for Refugees
