Lockerbie Manor – Final Meeting – P7
Tuesday 20th September 2016 6.00pm – 7pm
Our visit to Lockerbie Manor is drawing nearer and the children are becoming more excited by the day.
We shall have our final meeting for parents on Tuesday 20th September in the school hall to give you additional information regarding the trip, to elevate any concerns and answer any questions you may still have.
Initially, the balance for Lockerbie had to be paid by the end of August but Lockerbie Manor t has agreed to allow us to extend the payment until Thursday 9th September. On the evening you will be provided with a kit list, medical form and code of conduct. It would be greatly appreciated if you could complete the medical form on the evening.
We ask that if possible, only parents attend the meeting as we would like the children to arrive at Lockerbie Manor with the excitement of ‘not knowing’ too much about the adventure ahead.
Tea and coffee will be served in the mensa from 5.45pm.
PROPOSED VISIT BY PRIMARY 7 TO LOCKERBIE MANOR
Monday 2nd October – Friday 6th October 2017 Inclusive
Primary 7’s pupils have been going to Lockerbie Manor Residential Centre for the past couple of years and it has to be said it is the highlight of the year. We have managed to secure a week in 2017 for our present Primary 6 from Monday 2nd October – Friday 6th October 2017.
There will be an initial short meeting for parents on Tuesday 6th September 2016 in the school hall at 6pm, where we shall give an outline of the trip.
We value our annual residential trip as an integral part of our Primary 7 Personal, Social Development programme, as our children prepare for the transition from Primary to Secondary School.
More information on the activities offered can be found on the company website: www.manoradventure.com
The cost for the visit is £280 to include transport, accommodation, activities and all meals.
A deposit of £50 per child is required to secure the booking. This has to be paid by Friday 30th September 2016. This can be paid online via the school website or by cash or cheque made payable to East Renfrewshire Council.
Payments can continue to be made online at any time or alternatively, in school on a monthly basis, on the last Friday of the month, from October 2016 – June 2017. The balance must be paid by the end of June 2017.
