Getting Started in IT SCQF Level 3

Learners will gain an understanding of basic computing including word processing, saving, retrieving and editing files along with Internet searching.

Delivery: Microsoft Teams

Day: Monday

Start Date: 5th October 2020

Time: 12.30pm – 3.00pm (flexibility applies for school pick-ups etc)

Duration: 16 weeks (40 hours)

Play in Early Education and Childcare SCQF Level 4

Learners will develop a basic understanding of a variety of types of play, which contribute to the development of a child. By exploring a variety of types of play, learners will have the ability to describe a range of play experiences and identify each type of play. Once the course is complete learners will have the ability to demonstrate an understanding of the appropriateness and value of play opportunities for the learning and development of children.

Day: Wednesday

Start Date: 7th October 2020

Time: 9.30am – 12noon

Duration: 15 weeks (37 ½ hours)

 

Understanding Mental Health SCQF Level 4

This course is for those who wish to work in or are working in Health and Social Care.  Learners will be given the skills to identify and understand what is meant by the term ‘mental health’ and ‘wellbeing’ identifying a range of mental health issues and behaviours associated with this and how they are portrayed in the media. The course also looks at legislation related to mental health and identifying the role of the brain in relation to mental health and wellbeing.

Day: Wednesday

Start Date: 7th October 2020

Time: 12.30am – 3.00pm

Duration: 8 weeks (20 hours)
