Social wellbeing involves a person’s relationships with others and how that person communicates, interacts and socialises with others.
It can also relate to how people make friends and whether they have a sense of belonging.
At St Ninian’s High school we aim to promote good social wellbeing in all aspects of school life. We have:
- A wide range of extracurricular clubs
- A large number of school trips including both day and residential trips
- Social events such as School Discos, Family Ceilidhs and School Shows
- A zero tolerance policy to bullying
Every pupil has a designated Pastoral Care teacher who is there to offer guidance and support.
Further support can also be offered from the Youth Counsellor – Supports young people in school if anything is worrying or upsetting them. For example a death, family relationship difficulties, friendship issues, feeling sad/down, low self esteem, not coping well.
