Mental Wellbeing

Mental health is more than just the absence of mental illness. It includes emotional resilience which enables us to enjoy life and survive pain, disappointment and sadness. It is a positive sense of well-being and an underlying belief in our own and other’s worth.

Everyone has ‘mental health’ and this can be thought of in terms of:

  • how we feel about ourselves and the people around us
  • our ability to make and keep friends and relationships
  • our ability to learn from others and to develop psychologically and emotionally

St Ninian’s High has a website dedicated to promoting positive mental health. Please use the link below to access this site.
