Glasgow Music Festival

Miss Lawson took her choir to compete at the Glasgow Music Festival on Tuesday 14th March. The girls sang beautifully with the adjudicators commenting that “the tempo nuances were well handled” and it was “a very well constructed programme.”

Well done to Miss Lawson and the choir.

The Force Awakens…. For STEM Week!

STEM Week was launched with full force this morning, unveiling this years theme………….Star Wars!

At our whole school assembly, Mrs McLean introduced the theme and the various challenges for the week.  The pupils were played a video message from Darth Vader and were surprised by a visit from two of the movies characters.

Excitement reached fever pitch!  Our thanks must go to the UKGarrison for supporting our launch.

Keep your eyes peeled on the school website and class blogs for updates across the week.

May the force be with us!!

East Renfrewshire Cross Country

Today saw the annual East Renfrewshire Schools Cross Country championship held at Rouken Glen Park.  A team of 16 pupils from P5 to P7 represented Busby.  All pupils were a credit to the school, pushing themselves physically to complete a gruelling, muddy course.

Although we were unsuccessful in  terms of collecting silverware, all those involved should be extremely proud of their individual and team performances.  They were all amazing!
