Today, we welcomed our parents and families back to our school and into our Mearns Kitchen. On one side of the kitchen ‘The Magical Mexicans’ cooked up a storm and on the other, our ‘Six by Hogwarts’ team made some weird and wonderful dishes. The parents were super impressed and left us with some fantastic feedback. Thank you so much to everyone who came along to our event 🤩.

Some pictures from our time at Eastwood High School on Thursday. The children enjoyed participating in a range of sports and meeting the children who will join them at Eastwood in August. Well done team Mearns and thank you to Eastwood High School for organising such a fantastic transition event! 🏆

Primary 7 participated in a wonderful presentation all about Scottish Parliament today. They looked at laws made by the Scottish Government, the stages of a bill, MSPs and elections.

This morning we had our second lesson from Eastwood High School. The children enjoyed working in threes to test out different fruit/vegetables and recording the meter reading (v).

This afternoon we were joined Mrs McLear from Eastwood Science department for a lesson on Genetics. We can’t wait for out next lesson tomorrow!

Group 1 had their first go at our Mexican inspired dishes. Delicious!
