The Campaigners: Exploring the Fast Fashion Industry ๐Ÿ›๏ธ

Today we continued to explored Fast Fashion and looked more closely at the rights of workers.

We started by ranking different factors that we consider when buying a T-shirt. We identified colour, brand, ย price, fit and fabric as being very important. Meanwhile we donโ€™t often think about the wages of the worker that made the product, where the product came from or the conditions of the factory that it was produced in ๐Ÿค”

We then took part in a role play where we were the factory workers and had to produce 3 caps in an allocated time frame to receive our wages ๐Ÿ’ฐ

After our caps had been quality assured by the manager we then had to decide how to spend our wages. We discussed afterwards how these choices are also the choices that workers in the fast fashion industry have to face everyday ๐Ÿญ

We went on to create our Fair Factory Charters and ensured that the rights of workers would be upheld โญ๏ธ

Persuasive Peer Reviewing โœ๐Ÿผ

Today we had the opportunity to read some persuasive writing pieces from Primary 7.26. The piece was focused on Lockerbie ๐Ÿƒ๐ŸŒณโ˜€๏ธ and convincingย  the Primary 6โ€™s to go next year. ย We enjoyed reading each of the persuasive letters in pairs and giving feedback ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ
